Departing U.S. Ambassador Just Trashed Trump On His Way Out, POTUS Will Never Be The Same

Donald Trump, News, Politics

Everyone in Donald Trump’s administration is abandoning him and when we discover the real reasons why they’re leaving, it’s clear that Trump and his dysfunctional leadership are at the heart of it.

Even in the midst of insane vacancies and resignations happening on an almost daily basis, Trump is doing everything he can to convince America that everything is fine and people are begging to work in his administration. But according to Trump’s former U.S. ambassador to Panama John Feeley, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Feeley recently announced his decision to step away from the Trump administration, but not without making a splash and telling his boss how he really felt. In speaking about his reasons for leaving the administration, Feeley stated that he could no longer stand the White House’s “scapegoating of immigrants, jingoistic chest-beating and … schoolyard bully’s attitude.”

Feeley spoke candidly about why he’s quitting in a blistering op-ed in the Washington Post titled “Why I Could No Longer Serve This President” — and it’s definitely worth a read. In the op-ed, Feeley stated that he’d had his mind made up to leave since last summer, when he heard the president blame “both sides” for the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Feeley condemned Trump’s disgusting defense of Nazis at the event, which resulted in the murder of counter-protester Heather Heyer. Feeley said:

“The president’s failure to condemn the white supremacists and neo-Nazis who provoked the violence made me realize that my values were not his values.”

Feeley stated that his resignation is because the “traditional core values” of America have been “warped and betrayed” by Trump and due to his horrific policies, citing Trump’s “amateurish country-specific” travel ban and his “big, beautiful” border wall among others.

In his resignation note, Feeley even spoke up for the voters who had been fooled by the con artist in the White House, stating that even they “deserve better.” Feeley wrote:

“They deserve enlightened and informed debate about the true nature of the globalized economy, automation, and the need for education and reimagined job-skills programs to keep us competitive.

They are being offered the siren song of populist scapegoating of immigrants, jingoistic chest-beating and a schoolyard bully’s attitude that taunts: ‘I win, you lose.’”

You can read the entire scathing op-ed here, which we all know is making Trump’s life hell right now.
